Earlier today, Xiaomi revealed their new fitness band – Mi Smart Band 5. Along with that, Xiaomi also released two more products. One of them is the Mi Watch Revolve. Mi Watch Revolve has been launched and is the first smartwatch by Xiaomi – in India.
Basically, this new smartwatch is just a rebranded Mi Watch Color – which was earlier launched in China. It comes with a circular 1.3-inch AMOLED display. This display can go up to 450 nits of brightness which should be decent for using it in direct sunlight. Also, the display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 – not latest but again, decent for protection. Like most other smartwatches, this also comes with support of Always-on Display.
As of now, Xiaomi offers more than 110 watch faces through the Xiaomi Wear App. However, we will definitely see more watch faces from third-party apps. It is running on MIUI for Watch – which is based on Android Wear OS. We would love to see a variant with the vanilla Android Wear OS as well – meaning no custom skin.
It is packed with various sensors. Some of them are heart rate sensor, 3-axis acceleration sensor, geo sensor, baroreceptor, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. As the watch is equipped with GPS, you won’t need to carry your smartphone for walks or runs. Also, the watch offers 10 sports mode – if you are more into fitness.
Mi Watch Revolve is water-resistant up to 5ATM. So, it should be good for day-to-day tasks and even while exercising. It comes with Bluetooth 5.0 for connecting to the smartphone. You can pair it with the Xiaomi Wear App.
Everything in the watch is powered by a 420mAh battery which can be charged using the proprietary magnetic charger. According to Xiaomi, the watch will last for about 14 days on full charge and will take about 150 minutes to go from zero to full.
Mi Watch Revolve will be offered mainly in two different colours for the body – Midnight Black and Chrome Silver in India. Here, the Midnight Black variant will come with Space Black strap and the Chrome Silver variant will come with Neptune Blue Strap. It’ll go on sale for ₹10,999. However, there’s a launch offer in which you’ll be able to get it for ₹9,999 till Diwali. The sales for the watch will officially start from October 6 on Amazon India & Xiaomi’s online and offline stores.
