Apple usually holds an event in the second half of every year where it announces new products. Well, the event for 2020 is here. Apple has finally announced a new launch event for September 15 where it will be announcing a few new products. iPhone 12 Series might not be a part of it though.

At first, there were leaks which indicated that there’s a new Apple Event hashtag which was planned on Twitter. Like most such events, it even had a special Apple Emoji alongside the hashtag – #AppleEvent. Later on, Apple’s SVP of Marketing, Greg Joswiak took it to Twitter and confirmed that there’s an upcoming event on September 15.

Media also received official invitations from Apple for the launch event with the tagline being “Time Flies”. This might be a hint that the event is mainly focused on the new Apple Watch – Apple Watch Series 6. Apple is supposedly going to launch two new Apples Watches this year – one of them will be the Apple Watch Series 6. However, the second one is more interesting as it’ll be an updated, lower-cost variant of Apple Watch. Maybe, Apple can name it Apple Watch SE like iPhone SE? If they do that, it’ll be consistent along their series where SE can be considered as the budget friendly line-up of Apple products.

There are also rumours that a new iPad Air will be launched at this event. It is expected to have the new bezel-less look – just like iPad Pros have since quite some time. The leaks and rumours also say that there might be a lower-cost HomePod speaker at the same event along with Apple-branded over-ear headphones. Along with all these, there might be an upgraded Apple TV announcement with a new remote which can also be tracked. AirTags might also make their way to this event.

However, the rumours indicate that the iPhone 12 Series might not launch at the same event. And there might another event later for the iPhone 12 Series. There are supposedly going to be four new iPhone 12 models. All will have a new flat-edge design – just like iPad Pro. iPhone 5 also had a similar design. But the newer ones – at least, from the renders and leaks – look slightly better.

It’s not confirmed what all will be launched at the event. But don’t worry much as the event will start at 10AM PDT via the livestream event on September 15, 2020. Everything will be confirmed then. And we might be doing live launch event updates article as well. So, stay tuned for that.
