Along with the launch of Mi Band 5 and Mi Watch Revolve, Xiaomi also launched another product. Today, Xiaomi has launched their first Mi Smart Speaker in India.
Mi Smart Speaker is built with Modern Stainless-Steel Metal Casing – which isn’t commonly seen on smart speakers. So, this is one well built speaker. On the top, there is a touch control panel through which you can control different things of speaker. Also, it features LED ring on the top – just like previous Echo devices. However, the newer Echo devices have now shifted the light to the bottom.
On the inside, the speaker is just as good as the outside. There’s a powerful 63.5mm driver with 12W sound output. It’s a full range front-firing speaker which should be enough to fill any small to medium sized rooms. Also, it has DTS Professional tuned Sound – which isn’t commonly seen on smart speakers. So, most definitely a great addition to the Mi Smart Speaker.
This new Mi Smart Speaker comes with built-in Google Assistant and Chromecast. This helps it in easy media streaming on connected devices. Also, this speaker can be easily connected to Wi-Fi for using Google Assistant. And if you want to pair your device to the speaker using Bluetooth, you can do that as well.
Two far-field microphones are located on the top which are used when you give a voice command saying – Ok Google. Xiaomi says that these microphones should be enough to pick up your voice from far away.
The Mi Smart Speaker is priced at ₹5,999 in India. However, if you buy it during the launch offer, you’ll be able to get it at just ₹3,499 – which sounds great. It’ll be available on Flipkart starting October 1.
