iQOO was recently launched as an individual brand in India – with its first device being the iQOO 3 5G. However, iQOO still operates as vivo’s sub-brand in China. And today, iQOO has launched a new device in China – iQOO Neo3 – which comes with flagship specs and costs just under ₹30,000 – when directly converted to INR.

iQOO Neo3 is equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 865 at its heart. Also, the device comes with dual-mode 5G connectivity which isn’t even offered by several other flagship devices right now. Yes, they do support it but are just waiting for a software update to enable that. This flagship processor is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.

It comes with a 6.57-inch FHD+ 144Hz LCD punch-hole display. We would’ve preferred to see OLED display but can’t really complain due to the price and that ultra-smooth refresh rate. It is a narrow device as it has 20:9 aspect ratio. Also, the display is HDR10 compliant. And well, to improve your experience, it’s also equipped with stereo speakers as well as a headphone jack. So, this should be a great performer for content consumption.

That punch-hole in the display is used to equip a 16MP selfie camera. There is a triple rear camera setup on the back. This setup includes a 48MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. Sure, we would have preferred to see a telephoto instead of macro. But well, can’t complain again – thanks to the price!

The iQOO Neo3 will be running on Android 10 with iQOO UI’s skin on top. As a biometric security option, you’ll have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. There cannot be an in-display fingerprint sensor because of the LCD display. To power the hardware, there will be a 4,500 mAh battery which comes with 44W fast-charging support.

There are four RAM/Storage options which will be available for purchase in China. The 6GB/128GB variant is the cheapest one and that’s priced at CNY 2,698 – which is less than ₹30,000 – when converted today. The 8GB/128GB variant is priced at CNY 2,998 while the 12GB/128GB variant is priced at CNY 3,298. If you prefer to have higher storage than RAM – just like we do – you can get the 8GB/256GB variant for CNY 3,398. There will be two colour options for you – Black and Blue.

As of now, the devices can be pre-ordered in China. However, the official sales will commence on April 29. There are no details if the device will be launched in the International markets or not. However, if it launches at similar price range in other markets, it’ll surely be a device to look out for.
