Oppo just recently revealed the Oppo Ace2 in China. But well, they’re not going to rest easy right now. Today, they just launched their new mid-range device – Oppo A92s which comes with MediaTek Dimensity 800 and 5G support.

This is not a device with the flagship chipset like the Oppo Ace2. However, it seems like it’ll be a decent mid-range device. As you read earlier, it comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 800 at its heart. That is a 7nm chipset which has built-in support for 5G SA/NSA sub-6GHz networks. This chipset is coupled with 6/8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The thing which you’ll be looking at the most isn’t compromised either. If you didn’t get it, we are talking about the display. The Oppo A92s sports a 6.57-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD display. The aspect ratio is 20:9 which means a taller, but narrower device. There’s a punch hole cut-out which is used to equip the dual selfie cameras.

As we are already talking about selfie cameras, there’s a 16MP primary shooter which is paired with a 2MP depth sensor. We would have loved to see an ultrawide lens there but it’s a mid-range device. So, that shouldn’t be an issue.

On the rear side, there is a quad camera setup. This setup includes a 48MP primary shooter which is paired with 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. Sure, a telephoto would have been better but again, it’s a mid-range device.

Oppo A92s White

As the device sports LCD display, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the side. You’ll be able to interact with the device through the ColorOS 7.1 which is built on Android 10. Everything on the device draws power from a 4,000 mAh battery which comes with the support of 18W fast charging.

Only two colour options are offered for the device – Black and White. Also, there are only two variants of the device. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 2,199 while the 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 2,499. You can already place a pre-order for the device in China while the official sales will commence on April 29.

As of now, there’s no word on the global availability of the Oppo A92s. So, we’ll have to wait and see if they announce any plans for the same.
