Amazon has been in the hardware game since quite some time now. Today, they expanded their hardware portfolio by launching a range of new products. Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite are two such products that have been launched in India.

Fire TV Stick 2020

The first generation of the Fire TV Stick was launched quite a while back. After that, Fire TV Stick 4K was launched – which as the name suggests is the only Fire TV Stick that supports 4K. However, the normal Fire TV Stick was due for the update – in terms of performance. And that’s exactly what has happened today.

With the new Fire TV Stick, the internals are upgraded to be the same as that of the Fire TV Stick 4K. This regular Fire TV Stick is now equipped with the same quad-core CPU along with the faster GPU. Also, it includes new dual-band and dual-antenna Wi-Fi providing you faster connection speeds. Even though this doesn’t support 4K output, it’ll still support HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG content. That when paired with the Dolby Atmos support would provide you with great experience.

Along with the update to the regular Fire TV Stick, Amazon also launched Fire TV Stick Lite. The only major difference between the two is in the remote. With the Lite variant, you’ll get Alexa Voice Remote Lite. This just doesn’t have volume controls and the mute switch – which is present on the regular Alexa Voice Remote.

The new Amazon Fire TV Stick is priced at ₹3,999 while the Fire TV Stick Lite is priced at ₹2,999. In short, you can save ₹1,000 if you are fine for not having the volume controls and mute switch on the remote.
