OnePlus 8T is all set to launch on October 14. But before its launch, OnePlus has already started to confirm several specifications of the device. They have already confirmed the 120Hz display on the OnePlus 8T – which was leaked with other specifications. And today, OnePlus has just confirmed that the device will arrive with 65W Warp Charge technology which will be enough to give you a day’s power in 15 minutes.
OnePlus has just announced on its Community Platform that the OnePlus 8T will come with Warp Charge 65. This is new charging technology by OnePlus which can charge the device at 65W. Not only that but OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 8T will come with 4,500 mAh battery. This battery will be able to go from 0 to 100 in just 39 minutes. And if you plug it in for 15 minutes, it’ll give you 58% charge – which is amazing.
This new charger will feature a dual-end Type-C port design – which was pending since a long time. Also, this charger is backwards compatible – meaning all your previous OnePlus devices can charge at their respective rates using this charger. It was also confirmed that this new 65W charger will be capable of 45W USB PD. So, you’ll also be able to use the same charger to fast charge other electronics – including some laptops.
Just like other brands with faster charging technologies, OnePlus has also achieved this faster charging by splitting the battery in two parts. There are two batteries in the OnePlus 8T which will each charge at over 30W to give you this faster charging. OnePlus has also taken care of the safety aspect with this new charging technology by equipping OnePlus 8T with 12 temperature sensors.
