Xiaomi launched its new Mi Band 5 in China – a few months ago. Recently, it also launched the Amazfit Band 5 through Huami in US – which came with blood oxygen monitor. Also, its sub-brand Redmi launched their first smart band in India. And now, it is time for Xiaomi to launch their Mi Smart Band 5 in India – on September 29.

Mi Band 5 India

Mi Smart Band 5 is confirmed to arrive in India – through its landing page on Amazon. It’ll be launching on September 29 at 12:00 PM IST. From the landing page on Amazon, it looks like it’ll be an Amazon Exclusive at the launch. However, we are sure that Xiaomi will also sell it through their own website.

Mi Band 5 is equipped with a 1.1-inch AMOLED display – which is a bump up from 0.95-inch display on the Band 4. Several watch faces are available on the Mi Band 5 – thanks to the availability of third-party designs.

The band is capable of handling pressure of up to 5ATM – which should be decent for everyday usage and even swimming. Xiaomi has also introduced their new “Personal Activity Intelligence” score on the Band 5. This lets them claim that the band is your personal health assistant.

Xiaomi claimed that the Band 5 will easily last for 14 days on a single charge. Once depleted, the Mi Band 5 can now be charged via its magnetic charger. This will be a huge upgrade as we don’t need to remove our straps for charging anymore.

Xiaomi also says that they have added new “Yoga Mode” with 4 additional Sports Modes to the Band 5. As of now, we don’t know the price of the band. However, we expect it to be less than ₹2,500 in India.
