LG has been on the side-line for quite some time. However, it looks like they are preparing a great mid-range device this year. The design and the chipset of the LG Velvet were already revealed by LG earlier this month. Now, it’s confirmed that the LG Velvet will launch on May 7.

For the design, LG Velvet can get full points. It’s something new to look at in the world of all glass-sandwich blocks with rectangular camera arrays on the back. LG Velvet is equipped with a water-drop shaped triple camera setup – which is highly appealing to look at. On the top, there will be a primary sensor and the cut-out for the same will be biggest in size. Going further down, the cut-out sizes keep decreasing for two more sensors and an LED Flash.

The premium mid-range chipset from Qualcomm – Snapdragon 765G – will sit at the core of the LG Velvet. This should be more than enough for most of the users. Sure, it won’t be a flagship device which is alright. However, it will still have 5G support which is great for a country which has the most cities covered with 5G.

LG Velvet will be available in four colour variants – Red, Black, White and Green. More details about the device – including pricing and availability will be announced during the launch event of LG Velvet on May 7. Stay tuned.
