The Android tablets segment has been pretty empty. But not anymore as Samsung has launched two more tablets – Galaxy Tab S5e and the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 in India. Even though none of these are flagship level tablets, they seem to be decent mid-tier Android Tablets.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e
Out of the two, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is the better one. It has a 10.5-inch 2560×1600 Super AMOLED display. Also, that display is packed with a quad AKG-tuned speaker system which even supports Dolby Atmos audio for much better media experience. Powering the tablet is a Snapdragon 670 chipset which is paired along with 4GB RAM and 64GB Internal Storage. This storage is expandable through a micro SD card. On the rear, there is just a single 13MP camera while on the front, there is a single 8MP selfie camera.
All these specifications would mean nothing if it doesn’t last long even after being a tablet. So, it has a mammoth 7,040 mAh battery which even supports fast charging through a USB Type-C port. The battery life can be pretty good, especially considering that there’s a mid-range chipset with such a huge battery.
This Galaxy Tab S5e is priced at Rs. 35,999 for the Wi-Fi variant and Rs. 39,999 for the LTE variant. Both of these variants can be purchased across all retail outlets as well as the Samsung online store, starting June 24. Also, these can be purchased through the e-commerce stores. The Wi-Fi variant can be purchased through Amazon while the LTE variant can be purchased through Flipkart.
On the accessory side, the Samsung Book Cover Keyboard will be available for purchase for Rs. 3,500 instead of Rs. 7,999 if it’s ordered below July 31.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1
On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 has the 10.1-inch 1920×1200 IPS LCD display paired with dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos audio. This would give you a better media experience than your typical phone does. At its heart, it has the Exynos 7904 chipset paired with 2Gb RAM and 32GB Internal Storage. These specifications definitely do not sound good.
For cameras, Samsung used an 8MP camera sensor for the back and 5MP camera sensor on the front. Everything inside the device will be receiving the power to run through a 6,150 mAh battery which can be charged with the help of USB Type-C port.
For the Galaxy Tab A 10.1, the Wi-Fi variant is available on Amazon as well as Samsung online store, starting June 26. And the LTE variant will be available across all retail stores as well as Amazon, starting July 1.
Both tablets – Galaxy Tab S5e and Galaxy Tab A 10.1 will be available in three colour variants – Silver, Black and Gold.
