The recent track record of OnePlus for updating its devices has been pretty good. And to continue that good track record, OnePlus pushed out OxygenOS 9.5.8 for the OnePlus 7 Pro with May Security Patch.

The changelog for this update is as follows:

System

  • Optimized touch sensitivity for the screen
  • Optimized compatibility for third-party Type-C headphones
  • Updated Android security patch to 2019.05
  • General bug fixes and improvements

Phone

  • Improved audio quality

Camera

  • Fixed issue with the pop-up camera opening for an incoming video call while the screen is off or locked

The major fix in this update is the one for the camera. Several users have complained about that and wanted a fix for the same. OnePlus has finally addressed and fixed that issue. Also, it has updated the device to the May Security Patch which is quite good. It would have been better if the device was updated to June Security Patch, but something is still better than nothing.
