Reliance had recently announced their new truly unlimited plans for JioFiber. They were extremely solid plans when compared to several competitors. Now, Jio has come up with their new Postpaid Plus plans – which might end up bringing another major change in the telecom industry.
These new Jio Postpaid Plus plans are quite similar to the Family plans that are offered by Airtel and Vodafone. However, these Jio Plans are quite a bit better. So, let’s take a look at these new plans.
New Jio Postpaid Plus Plans
The first and the most basic new plan under Jio Postpaid Plus is priced at ₹399. It comes with 75GB data per month. Data rollover is also offered here and is capped at 200GB – which is pretty good. You’ll also get unlimited voice and SMS with this plan. And even on this basic plan, Jio is offering subscription to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription.
Family Plans
Next plan comes in at ₹599 which offers 100GB data with 200GB data rollover. You’ll still get unlimited voice and SMS benefits on this plan along with the subscription to three major OTT Apps. In this plan, you’ll be able to add 1 additional SIM card for the Family Plan.
If you are a family of three, then ₹799 plan would be for you. With that plan, you can add 2 additional SIM cards with Family Plan. Here, it offers 150GB data per month with same 200GB data rollover cap. Unlimited voice and SMS benefits along with the OTT Apps subscription will also be given for this plan.
With the ₹999 plan, you will be able to add 3 additional SIM cars with Family Plan. Here, it offers 200GB data per month with 500GB data rollover cap – which is amazing. Along with these data benefits, you’ll also get the same unlimited voice and SMS benefits from Jio. And yes, the OTT Apps subscription will also be provided with these plans.
International Calling Plans
If you are someone who has to dial international calls quite a lot, this ₹1499 plan would be best suitable for you. While this does not offer to add additional SIM cards with Family Plan, you’ll ger unlimited data and voice in USA and UAE. It offers 300GB data per month with 500GB data rollover cap. Unlimited voice and SMS benefits along with subscription to OTT apps is also offered here.
OTT Subscriptions with Jio Postpaid Plus Plans
Coming to the subscription to the OTT Apps, you’ll get one-year subscription for Amazon Prime and Disney+ Hotstar VIP. However, for Netflix, the subscription will continue as long as you are on any Jio Postpaid Plus plans with the bundled Netflix plan. Jio is offering Netflix’s Mobile Plan here with their Postpaid Plus Plans.
These plans will be available for customers starting September 24. One will need to get a new SIM card if they want to avail these plans. However, Jio will deliver the SIM card right at your doorstep. Also, they have promised there will be no downtime in service while changing the card. Also, for those coming from other providers can use Mobile Number Portability service and keep the same phone number while changing their provider.
