Vivo is supposed to launch its new device in India – Vivo V17 on December 9. But as we saw in the media invites, it looked more like Vivo S5 on the front rather than the recently launched Vivo V17 in Russia. But now, it looks like the back won’t resemble to either devices – Vivo V17 in Russia or Vivo S5 in China. Instead, the Vivo V17 will be equipped with L-shaped quad camera setup on the top left corner in India.

The Vivo V17 which was launched in Russia is also known as Vivo S1 Pro in Philippines – that’s such a mess with naming for different regions. Keeping the naming mess aside, the V17 in India is supposed to have a 6.44-inch punch-hole OLED display. The punch hole will reside on the top right corner and will equip the selfie camera inside it.

Even though the camera design and placement on the back changes, the Vivo V17 in India is supposed to have the same camera setup as the V17 in Russia. There will be a 48MP Primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. No Telephoto is a little disappointing right now, but well, the price in India is still not known. So, I’ll reserve the judgement till then.

This quad camera setup – as said earlier – will be in a L-shaped setup on the top left corner of the Vivo V17. At its heart, it is supposed to have the Snapdragon 675 instead of Snapdragon 665 which was seen on Russian V17.

That’s all the known information about the Vivo V17. But I’m expecting more leaks, rumours and confirmation as the device is extremely close to being launched. As soon as more information is known, I’ll make sure to cover it.
